WAIVER RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Auditions are ran and judged by our captains. We are looking for strong technical dancers with high-performance ability that will fit our team! We do not have a set number of members for the team, however, in past seasons it has been between 18 - 22. On Friday night of audition weekend, you can anticipate a group warm-up followed by the teaching of audition material. You will not be judged Friday night and are encouraged to come wearing comfortable gear, hair, and makeup, ready to learn! Saturday morning will begin with a group warm-up, followed by judged across the floor sets. Auditionees will learn & perform a sideline cheer, along with the materials learned the night before. The auditionee should also expect a small, casual interview! Cuts will be made throughout the day until we arrive at our final team! We encourage members trying out to come with a collegiate look and "Game Day Ready" hair and makeup.

 

EXPECTED TECHNIQUE:

• Kicks and tilts

• Leg holds

• Leg turns (front and tilt)

• Triple pirouettes and as many as you can do

• Turns in second

• Leaps (front, side, reverse, switch, calypso, & turning disk)

• Any tricks that you would like to show (ex. aerials, head springs, front walkovers, etc.)

ATTIRE:

 

• "Game Day Ready" hair & make-up!

• Form-fitting and appropriate dance clothes, leggings, shorts, tank top, etc.

• Feel free to wear bralettes, sports bras, old dance costume tops, etc. if you're comfortable doing so

• Jazz shoes or half soles and tennis shoes for hip hop

• Hair should be down & styled (ponytail ok during technique assessments)

 

Above all, make sure you feel confident in your presentation! It will show in your audition!
