The Cal Poly Dance Team (CPDT) of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, can be found on the sidelines at all Cal Poly Football and Men's and Women's Basketball home games. The goal of the dance team is to support Cal Poly Athletics and entertain the fans. The team performs jazz, pom, and hip hop style dances at Cal Poly games. CPDT also competes in the Divison 1 Jazz and Game Day categories at USA Nationals in each year in Anaheim, CA. Although the team has an advisor, CPDT is entirely student run and led by the team's captains. All dancers are full-time Cal Poly students. The team practices 4 days per week in addition to weekly games and campus appearances.
